Advantages of anti-slip paint
Non-skid paint is a great solution with many advantages when it comes to safety and aesthetics. The primary benefit of non-skid paint is its ability to reduce the risk of injury from slipping or falling on hard surfaces.
How to apply anti-slip paint:
Apply non-skid paint a brush, roller or sponge. Stir thoroughly before use. The surface to be painted must be completely clean and dry. The temperature of the surface should not be lower than +5 °C. Do not paint in bright sunlight, on hot surfaces, or in humid conditions. Ensure adequate ventilation during work. Use primer for 1-component alkyd varnish to ensure good adhesion. Apply 2-3 coats of the paint. The amount of thinner depends on the temperature, ventilation and surface. Use recommended thinner for the paint.
Where can anti-slip paint be used?
Non-skid paints are suitable for a wide range of uses. One of the most common uses is in commercial and public buildings such as hospitals, schools, shopping malls, and restaurants, where there is high foot traffic and the risk of spilled liquids. In addition, non-skid paint is also indispensable in industrial premises, especially in production facilities and storage facilities where there may be oil, water, or other slippery substances on the floor. Many of Biltema’s customers use non-skid paint on the deck and in the cockpit. Non-skid paint is only suitable for use on surfaces above the waterline.
Non-skid paint is a good safety measure when walking on boat decks.
