Tent Camping Becoming Increasingly Popular
A break from social media
A break from technology and social media is an important reason why many prefer the forest to the city or holidays in southern Europe. Many parents feel they have better contact with their children when they don’t have their tablets and mobile phones. Most likely, the children will also have more lasting memories from their camping trip without mobile coverage than from their hotel holiday in Mallorca.
It also doesn't hurt that you don't have to travel far to find a great place to pitch your tent and start your camping holiday. A camping trip close to home is usually much cheaper than a charter trip. At the same time, you get to feel the tranquillity of nature. A camping trip can be just as relaxing as a holiday in Southern Europe.
Pushback to fitness trends
There is growing interest in camping in Norwegian nature, and, for several years, outdoor organisations have been noticed increased interest in outdoor activities.
Membership is increasing in several organisations, and more outdoor recreation areas are bring used to a greater extent. Interest in spending the night in nature has probably not been greater than since the time when we all lived in caves and cooked outside.
The reason for our new outdoor habits is more complex than longer periods of sun and heat. We think more about our health and understand the importance of being out in nature to stay healthy. For many, the simple outdoor life is also a pushback to other fitness trends and high material consumption.
What you’ll need
Not everyone is equally experienced in the outdoors. Biltema answers many questions from customers who are going on a camping trip for the first time. The most frequently asked questions include which sleeping bags are suitable for what temperatures, whether the tents are waterproof and whether they are easy to set up, along with questions about cooking equipment.
The best thing to do is to make a list of the equipment you need so you don’t forget anything.
