Out on a fishing trip
First of all, of course, the season and the temperature in the air and water determine how much you need to wear. If you are an avid fisherman, you also know that successful fishing often requires patience, which can result in you standing out for several hours and waiting for the catch. Then it is important that you have the right fishing clothes, so as not to freeze or get too wet.
Your fishing clothes should consist of layer-on-layer. That is, a warming undergarment underneath, and then a fleece jacket or thicker sweater on top. The weather will ultimately determine what you wear. A wilderness jacket and wilderness trousers that protect against wind and water are always good, and if you are going to stand in the water, you should of course wear a pair of waders and rubber boots.

Fishing tips for the beginner
- Choose the right time of day for fishing. In cool weather, the fish stays close to the surface and on warmer days it stays close to the bottom.
- Choose the right rod. Choose a rod that is easy to use.
- Choose the right fishing line and lure. Based on which fish you are going to fish, the lure should preferably resemble the food that the fish normally eats.
- Document your fishing. When you get a catch, write down the date, what equipment you used, where you fished and what time you fished.
